for those who care…
I’m apparently enough of an Uman expert that radio wants a piece of me. Tomorrow at 9am eastern time, god knows when my time, I’ll be interviewed on Shalom USA Radio. Here’s their link, where the promise of live webcast is made.

menachem mission update
If Google autosuggest is used as a renown-barometer of sorts, then I am currently the most famous Menachem K out there.
Sorry Kellner.
updates
The kosher/ethics article finally went up — take a look. Looks nice, too.
AND: I’m going on New Zealand radio (this show), because, apparently, I’m a small condom expert. Yep. This afternoon, sometime between 12.30-3.00 (I’m trying to get a more exact time) I’ll be interviewed. (Ah, I just realized it’s pre-recorded. I’ll get the air date when I can.)
no, no — not what it looks like
While it’s undoubtedly helping my mission to become the most Google-able ‘Menachem’ out there, this shout-out from Daily Dish might not help my dating life:
In assorted coverage, Reihan slammed Crist over his fiscal character, Menachem Kaiser went looking for small condoms, Nicholas Sautin theorized over amateur war footage, Ryan Sager studied the effects of vacation, Patrick pointed to a blind painter, and I featured a revolutionary archeological find.
the menachem mission
I’ve found my mission: to be the most famous (alive) Menachem in America. (It’s too hard to follow the Israeli Menachems, at least at the moment.)
The competition:
- Mena(c)hem Pressler, a fine pianist. (He should be disqualified for wimping on his name — he wussed out on the ‘ch’ (properly called the voiceless velar fricative, btw) — but at 85, he’s probably only a temporary obstacle.
- Menachem Shoham, a biochemistry professor at Case Western. I’m pretty sure his fame has peaked by now.
- Seth Menachem, an actor and occasional writer, who also manages a superb blog called Life Advice From Old People. This is a formidable opponent.
Game plan, more details (more competition?) TK.
